shrub comes to town July 4, castblaster, ebay, liv, blowing up london
Listening to:DSC
Reading:Chronicles Vol. 1, Bob Dylan
Weather:80ish, lovely
I really wish my neighbors wouldn't shoot guns in the 'hood, it scares the crap out of me. Blam.

4th of July was righteous. Shrub gave a speech to 4200 ticketed shlubs, me and 350+ of my buds waved our homemade signs and chanted "this is what democracy looks like!" And he heard us! It was a great way to spend the 4th. I took Liv and Rhi and Ava, they enjoyed it, too. Wave that flag, wave it wide and high. I also hung a painted sheet sign out my office window, over the courthouse square, which said Bush Lied They Died. That dangerous dork. There were many wonderful signs, including some made by little kids, and after we marched down to the courthouse we were serenaded by an accordion player.

I downloaded Castblaster and dicked around with it for about 10 minutes. Very simple, a bit limited but that's why it's so easy to use. If you're thinking about podcasting and you have a microphone, try it.

I've got some stuff from my pal Ed to eBay. Barbies, among other things. So I've been doing a bit of research about that. Apparently there's a major glut of barbies on the market, lots of the ones on eBay are getting no bids at all. There seem to be some rare or particularly popular ones that go, like a Harley barbie. Lucky for Ed and me, we won't have anything in these except the shipping and packing costs, so even if they go for only a few bucks, it'll be cool with us. So far it looks like most of the ones I have here will go for less than the price tags on the boxes. I'm trying to decide whether to bundle them in a few groups or put them up one at a time. Input anyone? More on this later.

Liv got a migraine-type headache the other day, that sucked a lot. She got one once before. This time she took an Advil, and it went away quickly. But the next day she puked 3 times. And she's not a puker. We very rarely go to the doctor, but I'm thinking she should get checked out. So, of course, Murphy's law of potentially serious illness, on Friday I get a letter from her doctor that she's closing her practice for the summer, hopes to reopen in September. Great.

Somebody blew up a bus and several places in the London underground. How much does that suck? What makes a person that pissed off that they take an action like that against totally innocent people? DOn't like Tony Blair? I agree, he's a wanker, but what did you have against those poor schmucks headed to their daily toil on the damn subway?
