I love Kevin Smith. His movies are among my favorites (Clerks, Mall Rats, Chasing Amy, Dogma, Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back, Jersey Girl). We made a pilgrimage to his comic book shop in Red Bank NJ, his home turf, a couple summers ago, sniffing around the town for his mark. Razor wit and copious F bombs, so endearing.

Kevin is a blogger, and he has posted the first 3 of at least 4 blog entries about his relationship with Jason Mewes, aka Jay. Jay was really the inspiration for much of Clerks, Kevin's absolutely unique and incredible breakout film. And Jay is a heroin junkie, as was his mom. These two guys have an amazing love for each other, and this is Kev's story about that. Here's the link to Kev's blog, My Boring Ass Life.

I pilfered this stunningly cool little animated .gif from the boards at the ViewAskewniverse, Kev's swag site. Thanks, whoeveryouare.

Thanks to Mike I got to groove on Mountainstage at the CAC last Sunday night. This weekend I hope to post my review.

If you're looking for something decadently sweet and pricey and pretending to be healthy, try out Bolthouse Farms Perfectly Protein Mocha Cappuccino. It's in the produce section at Giant Eagle, colorful plastic bottles in two sizes. This Mocha one is brown (go figure). I've tried the others, and most of them except the Vanilla Chai one, are more healthy than tasty. Take a shot of this one and thank me later, yo.

It's so nice out, freshly spring and suddenly warm, it's hard to drag ass to work, but hey, it's Friday! That glorious bit of working class joy that the rich just never get.
