Bye bye Love or 1-2-3 look at Mr. Lee
Listening to:Captain Beefheart, One Red Rose That I Mean
Reading:some stuff
Weather:82, sunny
The heatwave broke, at least temporarily, and it got down to a merciful 57 last night. Humidity dropped, too. Lovely. My cat inexplicably woke me up at 5:30, so I got to check the temp and enjoy the chilly air. Maybe that's the explanation. Thanks, Kit Kat.

Sadly another groovy dude has died. Arthur Lee died on Thursday of leukemia at age 61. Lee is probably best known for being the front man for the fabulous 60's and 70's psychedelic rock and roll folk rock funky punky band Love. But according to wikipedia he also wrote a tune whose recording included what may be Jimi Hendrix's first studio session. if you've never listened to Love, get thee to a CDery. Pronto. This stuff is chock full of good old rock and roll, but laced with so much broad influence and flavor you just can't help but dig it.

Arthur and I share a birthday, so he's a pisces, too. Sweet.
