first wooly worm, green starting to fade
On my way home from the pork chop dinner at Haymond today I saw my first wooly worm of the season. I didn't stop to examine, but just before it passed between my tires I saw it looked pretty equally divided into thirds, black brown black. Case'n that means something to you.

Also I notice thursday on my way home from work that the green everywhere was suddenly looking a bit gray, and a few maple trees are starting to get some red on the ends of branches.

The equinox is September 23 at 3 past midnight EST, so all signs point to a quick summer's end.
