jai guru deva omHave you seen the Transformers trailer? Very Spielbergy. I'm totally there. I saw it before the Fantastic Four silver surfer movie, which was pretty good. Very silvery. Quite surfery. Sad and pathetic huge commercial in the middle of it, but I actually liked it better than the first one, which should have been called the Fantastic Two since the main characters were Jessica Alba's hooters. Also saw a trailer for an animated movie, Underdog, with Jason Lee whom I totally can't get enough of. Again, I'm there.
Listening to: across the universe, the fab four Reading: silent spring Weather: 70, stunning I've become mildly obsessed with the song Across the Universe, so you'll probably hear it at my next gig, whenever that may be (courthouse square in September?).
Heading out to Marietta soon to see Ping and Joe and the babe and everybody. Can't wait!! Liv has a few summer assignment books to read (how much does that suck?), so we might listen to some classic lit audio on the way. She just finished Slaughterhouse Five and turned in a paper for that for AP history. I think she has 2 more books for that class and a book for English due the first day of school. Oy. Oh bother, Lar's car stereo has no minijack input, so we'll either have to burn CD's or use an FM transmitter.
Speaking of CD's, I heard the Styx song Crystal Ball the other day and almost developed a mild obsession for that tune, as well. Probably be the next one on the learn-me list. Go ahead, make fun of me, I don't give a shit. I like disco, too, so knock yourself out. But seriously, I could not admit that I liked Styx when I was in highschool, so I never bought any of their records (or subsequent media), though I secretly wanted to. Now I'm a big girl and I don't care if it's dorky, I snagged a couple of discs cheaply off Amazon and can't wait to crank them up. Crystal Ball and Equinox (which includes the tasty Light Up). Freakin sweet.
