Axis of Evel Knievel
Listening to: | Least Complicated, Indigo Bitches | Reading: | A War of Gifts, OS Card | Weather: | 40, dark | Buh bye Evel, you crazy mofo. And buh bye to Benazir Bhutto, I really thought your opposition would be politically savvy enough to prevent you from being martyred. Sorry I was wrong, and damn glad I'm not in Pakistan for the next who knows how long. Ironically Pakistan means place of peace.
The solstice arrived and not a moment too soon. I burned a yule log the night before (Friday night) to celebrate a bit. Headed out for DC the next morning to the usual xmas horrorshow. I saw a hilarious bit from jasonhare.com, who has been lambasting dreadful xmas music for 25 lovely days this month, and I just reveled in its simple succintness: "I hate you, Jesus." That, and "Son, get Daddy's Drambuie" just about had me peeing my pants. My needs are few, people, seriously.
Ya mo be there.
