did they hunt in the French Riviera?
Listening to:my rubber tires whine
Reading:brain on music
Weather:soaring to 12! thanks to sunshine
Please go back and reread the book 1984. Then go back and reread the book Stranger in a Strange Land by Robert Heinlein. They are not just great books, I promise they will both rock you with fairly specific story elements that are taken directly from today's headlines.

It's not just art that imitates life, sometimes life imitates life, only backwards and upsidedown. This ABA journal story includes Supreme frickin Court Justice Scalia, some guns, and partying with an attorney in a case pending before him, but not from the side you'd expect. A dude from the Blog of Legal Times says “The juxtaposition is fairly hard to imagine.” I'm guessing he hasn't read much dystopic scifi.
