They were at a hotel in Braxton Co and are safe at home now. Dontcha love a happy ending?

And how about a happy beginning: Obama specifically included atheists as citizens of America in his inaugural speech today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He said something like "this nation is made up of jews and christians, muslims and hindus, and non-believers. . ." I don't know if the most appropriate protocol is to say Hallelujah or Amen!

For the first time ever in my life I feel like I'm part of what a president is talking about. I'm on equal ground with his fellow church-goers. I'm a real citizen even though I don't dress up on sundays or attribute good things and bad things to some spirit in the sky or get my answers to moral questions from a book of mythology. I'm part of the We in Yes We Can, y'all! Sweet.

So even though I woke up to 11 inches of snow on my driveway, and it was 3 below zero, and my power went out from 2:30a to 4:30a, it was a damn fine day here in the neighborhood for yours truly.
