white phosphorus? time to intervene

I'm having a hard time deciding what news sources I can believe in, but it's not just Al Jazeera saying the Israelis are using white phosphorus chemical weapons against the people of Gaza.

The stuff is designed to choke people to death with smoke and burn their flesh.

I've been holding out a fairly isolationist viewpoint on this war, but chemical weapons change the rules from my perspective. If that is happening there then I believe we have a duty to intervene in some way. I'm all but totally ignorant about this war and related policy considerations and all that, but if somebody is intentially trying to burn people's flesh and suffocate them it's time for me to figure out how to make that shit stop.
